Chicken in the Maize

E veryone likes breaded chicken! This simple recipe for a chicken baked in oven comes from traditional Međimurje-cuisine; it will spare you from boring dipping into eggs and bread crumbs. Maize will make chicken legs particularly crispy!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken meat for breaded chicken (chicken legs and brests)
  • 60 g maize
  • 1 tablespoon Vegeta
  • 200 ml oil

Preparation

  1. 1.
    Chunks of chicken rub with Vegeta, coat in maize and arrange in a baking pan with hot oil.
  2. 2.
    Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 30 minutes.
  3. 3.
    When the meat is half baked turn it.

Serving

Serve with baked potatos and lettuce salad.

Advice

To achieve more aromatic flavour you may use Vegeta Twist “chicken”.
